Operation Leadership Behind a Strong Client Experience

Shanni Payne leads the operations that help netgainCFO deliver an organized, responsive, and consistent client experience. Bringing more than two decades of professional experience, she connects the firm’s people, systems, and priorities so engagements begin with clear communication and continue with coordinated execution.

As Operations Manager, Shanni oversees client onboarding, billing, and operational coordination alongside people operations, marketing, technology, and AI adoption. She builds the processes that equip the firm’s financial professionals to focus on their clients while keeping responsibilities, timelines, and next steps visible.

Building the Foundation for Firmwide Performance

Since joining netgainCFO in April 2025, Shanni has built operational infrastructure from the ground up, implementing systems and establishing processes that strengthen how the firm operates.

Her leadership responsibilities include:

  • People operations, staff onboarding, payroll administration, and employee training
  • Client onboarding, offboarding, billing, and the overall client experience
  • All firm marketing efforts, including website management, social media, email marketing, and content execution
  • AI adoption, technology implementation, systems integration, and workflow improvement
  • Operational documentation, vendor management, cost control, and coordination across functions

Shanni connects these responsibilities through clear processes and communication, helping the team understand ownership, manage dependencies, and carry commitments through completion.

Experience Across Enterprise Growth and Organizational Change

Shanni’s career spans technology and data services, private equity, consumer packaged goods, human capital services, real estate, nonprofit organizations, grain commodity trading, and public administration, with additional experience in legal, compliance, and law enforcement environments.

At a $210 million global technology and data business, she partnered with the CEO, CFO, and CHRO on enterprise priorities. Her work included planning and execution of a $206 million annual operating plan for three consecutive years and directing a post-merger HRIS integration covering 1,500 employees across two companies.

While working at a national real estate and technology holding company, she led compliance operations and partnered with Legal, Human Resources, and Operations to standardize investigation and resolution workflows and address complex compliance matters. Her real estate background also includes leading her own brokerage as a Broker-in-Charge and earning recognition as a top 1% producer, with direct responsibility for client relationships and regulated transactions.

Shanni’s earlier roles encompassed business management, data analytics, payroll, workplace compliance, financial recordkeeping, and executive operations. Her years as a Special Victims Unit Detective sharpened her investigative judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate sensitive and complex situations.

Bringing Business Perspective and Accountability to Execution

Shanni draws on this breadth of experience to understand how decisions affect the entire organization. At netgainCFO, she connects leadership priorities with daily operations, translates initiatives into project plans, and establishes clear ownership, milestones, and deliverables across functions. She tracks progress, identifies risks and dependencies, and coordinates follow-through to keep work on schedule. Her approach combines careful judgment with practical execution, building the systems and working relationships that support growth, accountability, and a consistent client experience.
